Bowling Green State University Police Department (BGSUPD) responded to an anonymous threat at the Jerome Library on November 10. After investigation, authorities confirmed there was no immediate threat, and the library was evacuated as a precaution. The call, received by the Bowling Green Police Department, claimed an active shooter was present, but no evidence of a threat was found after thorough sweeps. The incident is believed to have been a swatting attempt, and law enforcement agencies are working together to investigate further. BGSUPD has increased security presence following the event.
