A significant data breach at government technology provider Conduent, initially disclosed in 2024, has expanded to impact more than 25 million Americans, making it one of the largest cyberattacks of 2024. The attack was claimed by the Safeway ransomware gang, which stated that over 8 terabytes of data were stolen. The company has not disclosed the total number of notifications sent to individuals but plans to complete this process by early 2026.
