Hardin County Schools Implements New Safety System and Honors Staff and Students
Hardin County Schools has announced the rollout of a new school safety system from Raptor Technologies, which includes panic alerts, visitor screening, and reunification drills. The system, purchased in May 2025 and installed starting in September, features panic alert badges, a mobile app, ceiling beacons for communication in low cellular areas, and a visitor management system that scans driver’s licenses against national registries. The district plans to conduct a reunification exercise in January with trained staff and designated sites. Despite some minor deployment issues, the system is considered a necessary safety measure, with officials emphasizing its importance in preventing incidents. Additionally, the Hardin County Board honored staff and students and reviewed math initiatives during the same meeting.
