Restaurants Celebrate Veterans Day with Free Meals and Special Offers
Several major restaurant chains across the U.S. are offering free meals, drinks, and discounts to veterans and active military members in honor of Veterans Day. Texas Roadhouse is providing free meal vouchers for one of ten entrees, including a 6-oz sirloin with sides, available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 11, with vouchers redeemable through May 31, 2026, upon proof of service. Cracker Barrel is offering a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special, which includes two buttermilk pancakes with eggs or breakfast meat, available all day. Denny's is giving away the Original Grand Slam breakfast, and Golden Corral is hosting a free buffet dinner for veterans and service members, serving nearly 6.7 million meals since 2001. Other chains like Applebee's, Chili's, Outback Steakhouse, Shake Shack, Starbucks, and Red Robin are also participating with various free meals and beverages. Many establishments require proof of military service, such as ID, VA card, or discharge papers. Additionally, some restaurants like Chipotle and Whataburger are offering buy-one-get-one-free meals or free items like Taquitos for veterans during specific hours or days. These initiatives aim to honor and thank military personnel for their service.
