Women’s Sports Bar Opening Near Wrigley Field by Northwestern Alumna Clarissa Flores

A new women’s sports bar, Level Sporting Club, is set to open in Wrigleyville, Chicago, near Wrigley Field, in late April or early May 2026. Founded by Clarissa Flores, a former Northwestern University basketball star and Chicago native, the bar aims to prioritize women’s sports, challenging traditional sports bar norms where men’s sports dominate. The 5,632-square-foot venue at 3343 N. Clark St. will feature a vintage aesthetic, multiple TVs, and a focus on women’s athletics, while still showing Chicago’s men’s teams. Flores, who has extensive hospitality experience including roles at Tao Nightclub and Lodge Management Group, is supported by a team of six female investors, including notable figures like Jennifer King and Ashleen Bracey. The bar will also offer elevated bar fare with a menu led by chef Amanda Barnes. The project reflects a growing movement of women’s sports bars in Chicago, such as Babe’s and Whiskey Tavern, and aims to provide a dedicated space for women’s sports fans, especially with the upcoming 2026 WNBA All-Star Game in Chicago. Flores emphasizes inclusivity, community support, and the importance of giving women’s sports the exposure they deserve.
