Trader Joe's, Ajinomoto Fried Rice Recalled: 3.3M Lbs for Glass

More than 3.3 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice products, including Trader Joe's Chicken Fried Rice and Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice, have been recalled by Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall due to potential contamination with glass fragments. The affected products were produced between September 8, 2025, and November 17, 2025. The Trader Joe's branded fried rice, identifiable by best-by dates between September 8 and November 17, 2026, was shipped to stores nationwide in the U.S. The Ajinomoto Yakitori-branded fried rice was distributed to stores in Canada. The recall was initiated after the company received four consumer complaints of glass being found in the product. No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported in connection with consuming the recalled items. All recalled products bear the establishment number P-18356 inside the USDA mark of inspection. Consumers are advised not to consume these products and should either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
