Canada and Finland Unveil Jerseys for 2026 Winter Olympics Hockey Teams

Canada and Finland have revealed their official jerseys for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, scheduled from February 11-22. Canada unveiled two jerseys featuring a white design with a red maple leaf crest and a red design with a black maple leaf, symbolizing Canadian pride and resilience. The jerseys, designed by Nike, reflect the country's hockey legacy and are intended to symbolize strength under pressure, resembling a diamond. Hockey Canada emphasized that these uniforms embody Canadian hockey passion and history, with the jerseys serving as a symbol of national pride. Finland's jerseys display the country's crest, which features a crowned lion with an armored arm wielding a sword, and its hind legs trampling a saber, representing Finnish heritage and strength. The men's hockey tournament will begin on February 11, with preliminary games involving 12 teams, including Canada, Finland, USA, and others, culminating in a gold medal game on February 22. Canada's first game is against Czechia on February 12, followed by matches against Switzerland and France. The tournament will be played at the Santagiulia and Rho Ice Hockey Arenas in Milano. Hockey Canada CEO Katherine Henderson highlighted that the jerseys symbolize Canadian resilience and pride, and the design aims to evoke the athletes' ability to withstand pressure. The jerseys will be worn by men’s, women’s, and para hockey teams, with the women starting their defense of the gold medal on February 5, and the para hockey tournament beginning on March 6. This marks the first Olympics with NHL players participating since 2014, and the first Olympics since the establishment of the PWHL.
